Our Legacy
Etymology
The name is derived from the founders, the Florida brothers — George and Virgilio Jr. Their initials form the "G.V." in our name, representing a family bond that drives the company forward.
The Beginning
Founded by Virgilio Florida, Sr. as 'Florida Liner'. A humble beginning that would transform transport in Northern Philippines.
Incorporation & Rebranding
Renamed to G.V. Florida Transport, named after brothers George and Virgilio Jr. The iconic flowery pink livery becomes a symbol of luxury.
Expansion Era
Acquisition of F. Franco Transit, B. Trans, Autobus, Viva Alladin, and others expanded routes to Ilocos, Isabela, and Baguio.
The Sleeper Class
The first Philippine bus company to introduce the 'Sleeper Class' with Higer and Golden Dragon buses, offering hotel-like comfort on wheels.
